Pop art is mostly associated with the work of Andy Warhol or Roy Lichtenstein, but they weren’t the only artists who were inspired by advertising design, commercial products or cartoons. Pop art as such originated in the mid-fifties of the 20th century as a reaction to the post-war changes in society. Pop art found its home mainly in the neon lights of the city of New York, but its origins are associated with the London Independent Group and a collage of Scottish artist Eduard Paolozzi – I was a Rich Man’s Plaything. Pop art is colorful, playful, uncomplicated, yet original and unconventional. We are sure it would suit your home!
